Specific result hook

A specific-result hook opens with a concrete outcome, often with a time frame or a number, before explaining how it happened. It works because a clear payoff tells viewers exactly what they will get for their attention.

How it works

Lead with the end point, then promise the route. "[3] showings to [11] in a week" is a payoff; "how I improved my listings" is not.

Use your own real numbers. If you do not have one yet, describe the change in plain terms ("my lower back stopped hurting at my desk") instead of inventing a figure. Viewers and platforms both punish results that the video cannot back up.

Keep the effort visible next to the result: "ten minutes a day" or "one script" makes the outcome feel reachable.

Works best for

  • Case studies and client results
  • Personal progress and challenges
  • Product demos where the outcome is easy to show
